Domain Names...
Domain registration & management is the most misunderstood concept among web site owners on the internet. Lets get a couple things straight first.

There are three angles to approach a problem regarding a domain:

• New Domain
• Transfer from another web host
• Transfer using Registrars other than Network Solutions

  
  
  New Domain
  If you are setting up a web site with a new domain name for the first time, there is rarely any problem. Promitech can set this up for you and we charge around the price InterNic charges, we also take care of all the necessary technical questions and setup involved.You can also register your domain with us for only $20.00 per year. We take care of all the technical aspects of your domain as well..
  
  
  Transfer from another web host
  When we setup a web site, we will request that the Name Servers be changed on your domain. The Name Servers are what identifies Promitech as the location of your web site.
  Network solutions will then email you for confirmation of the change. If the confirmation is not replied to, or not done correctly, Network Solutions or other registrars will not change the information to point your domain to Promitech.
  
  If 48 hours have gone by & the domain still does not point to your Promitech web site, make sure Network Solutions has a valid email address for you.
  You can check this by performing a WHOIS.
  
  If the administrative contact lists an email address that you no longer have access to, you must change this by calling Network Solutions at (703)742-4777 or the actual registrar listed on the who-is at their correct contact number.
  You must change your email address, & while your at it you can also change your Name Server information to the following:

Other Registrars
There are other registrars out there besides Network Solutions. For example, Register.com is a popular one. They charge a bit more ($100 for two years), but there service is more easily managed. They provide a web-based control panel to change the Name Server information listed above.

If you already have a domain registered through Register.com, or Enic.com, you must perform the changes to the Name Server information using the Name Servers provided above. You can also register your domain name with us on our DNC (Domain Name Center) for much less than other registrars. We take care of all the technical aspects of your domain as well.
